Rex Eiserer is the Founder and CEO of Chillpack, and his background reflects a rare blend of deep technical skill, operational experience, and entrepreneurial drive. Before founding Chillpack, Rex held a senior procurement/operations leadership role at a major semiconductor firm — managing nearly $900 million in direct materials, memory, test equipment, and logistics to support manufacturing and engineering programs. His academic credentials — a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Master of Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, as well as an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin — give him a strong technical and business foundation.

Beyond the corporate world, Rex also has extensive military service. He served in the U.S. Army, including time at Army Futures Command, and was one of the original leaders in the Austin office of the 75th Innovation Command — a role aligning Soldiers with commercial technology to address real-world problems. He commanded at the company and battalion level in combat and was awarded two Bronze Star medals. His military background gives him firsthand insight into the challenges and needs of defense and tactical operations — a key advantage for a company like Chillpack that’s developing portable evaporative cooling systems for austere, field, or expeditionary environments.

On the innovation front, Rex is not just a strategist — he’s an inventor. He holds multiple patents for collapsible, ultraportable evaporative cooling systems that transform from compact storage configurations into full operating coolers. Under his leadership, Chillpack has secured federal funding via SBIR contracts: the company has been awarded multiple Phase I and Phase II contracts to develop portable cooling solutions for extreme environments, including tactical shelters and battery-powered wearable cooling for warfighters facing heat stress.

He has over 25 years of successful business experience in start-ups and scale ups and deep experience as an investor in the dual use technology space, with two successful exits with Carpe and SafePointe.

James “Boe” Young brings more than three decades of senior leadership experience across the U.S. military, corporate operations, and national security innovation. A retired Army Major General, he built a reputation for transforming large organizations, shaping strategy at the highest levels of the Department of Defense, and leading complex teams in both combat and enterprise environments. As the founder of the Army’s 75th Innovation Command, he played a central role in connecting private-sector technology to the military, establishing decentralized innovation teams in 23 cities and integrating emerging commercial capabilities into the Army Futures Command mission.

Boe’s career outside the military reflects the same pattern of high-impact execution. He has held President, COO, and SVP roles in manufacturing, healthcare consulting, and high-tech sectors, consistently driving growth and operational excellence in challenging conditions. He has taken companies through major transitions—including successful exits—built national sales organizations from scratch, and generated multi-million-dollar pipelines across enterprise, government, and defense verticals.

As the founder of two veteran-owned consulting practices, Boe also serves as one of the nation’s leading expert witnesses on military human capital, readiness, and compensation—testifying in more than 30 high profile legal cases. This role leverages his experience as the Army Reserve’s senior human capital officer, where he oversaw personnel strategy, promotion, retention, medical readiness, disability policy, and a $3.4B portfolio. His advisory work across startups, venture-backed firms, and national security innovation organizations has made him a key connector for companies seeking to engage defense markets or navigate federal acquisition and technology adoption.

Across both military and commercial environments, Boe has demonstrated a consistent ability to build teams, scale organizations, and commercialize innovation. His blend of strategic vision, operational discipline, and deep understanding of DoD needs makes him uniquely positioned to guide companies like Raekor—especially those delivering mission-critical technology with both commercial and defense applications.

Ron is an experienced chief executive with multiple successful exits, board member, and investor. A former Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, and a retired Army Colonel, Ron is a graduate of MIT Sloan School of Business. Ron has had a successful civilian career at multiple defense firms, including Collins Aerospace and L3Harris.

Ron works at the intersection of people, technology, and applications to find solutions and propel organizations forward. He builds and leads high performance teams at this confluence of ideas, sound practice, and energy.

Ron’s career spans over 30 years in general management, operations, corporate and business development, research and development, strategy, and government affairs. As Managing Director of White Birch Analytics, his firm provides advisory services to venture capital and private equity firms and to their portfolio companies. Ron is a venture partner at New North Ventures, a multi-fund, dual-use, seed to Series A venture firm. He has served as the CEO of a defense electronics system design and manufacturing firm, and as president of a large language model technology firm serving special operations and intelligence agencies. His experience includes executive positions with profit & loss responsibility at Collins Aerospace, RTX, Kongsberg, L3Harris, and NAVTEQ.

Ron’s public service includes New Hampshire State Director of the Selective Service, Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, and 34 years as a Soldier in the U.S. Army. His last military assignment was as the founder and managing director of the Eastern U.S. Group of the 75th Innovation Command. He was a principal architect in the design and establishment the command, supporting Army modernization and influencing the largest restructuring of the U.S. Army since the Vietnam War. His awards include the Legion of Merit.

Ron holds degrees from Boston University, Tufts University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and National Intelligence University. He is also a graduate of programs at the U.S. Army War College and Naval Postgraduate School. Ron was commissioned into the Regular Army as a Distinguished Military Graduate of Army R.O.T.C.

Ron serves on the boards of philanthropic organizations, businesses, and institutions. He is a mentor in the MIT Gordon Engineering Leadership program and in the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School International Strategic Crisis Negotiation Program. He is passionate about talent development and technology advancement to improve our world.

Ron and his wife Katie have been married for over 35 years and are the proud parents of three children oriented to service; their sons as Army officers and daughter as a physical therapist and Navy spouse.
